Roosters weigh out to 8lbs. . The hens weigh up to 7 lbs. and can lay up to 200 large dark brown eggs a year. Hens are individual when it comes to their egg color. Some lay darker eggs than others, some are speckled and some vary throughout each year. They also make great moms.

Chicks in Comfort has spent hundreds of dollars and 2 years building a quality flock of Black Copper Marans from various breeders.  We have raised and culled many birds to obtain birds that represent the best qualities of the breed.  We have 5 Roosters and 15 hens currently.  We do ship eggs and sell chicks locally.  Fertile eggs are 55.00 per dozen and 30.00 for 6.  Baby chicks are 15.00 each, pullets 30.00 each.
