Welcome to our little corner roost.  Located in Comfort Texas, Chicks in Comfort began in earnest about 6 years ago.  Anyone who has chickens knows how that started - with the purchase of a "couple of chickens". What I didn't know is how addictive these feathery friends can be.  A "few birds" has turned into almost 100 lovely cackling and crowing birds of many colors and personalities. After buying just about every breed available and learning about their characteristics and how to care for them, I decided on the type and breed of birds by raising the those birds who presented the best eggs, best confirmation of the breed, best disposition and size.  Being a small farm the decision to raise purebred birds was not an easy one considering I like so many of the large breeds of birds, alas after much consideration we decided to focus on three breeds for breeding and sharing with others.  (Not that I just have 3 breeds on the farm *smile, but we only offer 3 different purebred breeds for sale on a regular basis) Those breeds are:
